My name is Filip Blommaert, based in Belgium. Currently my focus is on fashion photography with a specialisation in underwater model photography.
From Special forces operator to underwater model photographer
Indeed a rather unusual combination. But I believe a story worth to tell. I grew up in an artistic family and had a sportive father. With this the trend was set. I bought a first video camera during a mission in Kosovo and my first photo camera for a visit to Kirgizstan in 2008. Model photography came into the picture in 2019 with the memorable shoot of 'Het Witte wief'. Underwater model work came in on September 13, 2021.
The combination of the dive skills as a military combat diver and an artistic mind, results in technical challenging shoots.
